*I first heard this song when I was a sophomore in high school, I've never stopped loving it...I wish I went to mass where psalms were sung by Mahalia Jackson...not that I don't like Carmelita Hernandez- the local elderly extremely devout veil-wearing woman who scowls at everyone including the priest- but she's like 90 and well, it's hard to listen to her rendition of the Our Father without giggling and mom always gets angry when I pound out a backing drum line on my thighs, anyway with Jackson it'd be like a free show every Sunday at a venue with great acoustics...and i'm certain i'd move on up a little higher while listening to it
